Interfaith Housing Services (IHS), a faith-based organization not affiliated with any religion, is a convergence of many denominations, civic organizations, social groups, businesses, and individuals who help meet the needs of our community. IHS envisions communities where equal opportunities for safe, affordable, accessible and quality housing services are available to everyone.                            THE IHS MISSION:
Interfaith Housing Services shall develop, promote, and implement programs which assist persons of low to moderate incomes to meet their housing needs.

IHS has an excellent reputation for helping people in the community with housing needs. Over the last 19 years we have:

  • assisted over 500 homeowners in area counties to keep their homes livable
  • provided 117 safe, and affordable rental units housing people with disabilities, elderly, and families
  • helped 34 first time home buyers acquire a home
  • opened 25 Individual Development Accounts
