Tax Credit Donations
To reserve 75% state tax credits for 2012, please fill out the form, HERE, and return to our offices.
Kansas Tax Credits are an easy way to maximize your financial benefitof a donation, and drastically improve a local household’s future. Not to mention IHS was awarded a grant that will match any donor’s contribution dollar for dollar, doubling the amount we can use to help a family.
All donations fund the Creating Assets, Savings & Hope (CASH), formally known as the Individual Development Account program, that serves as an incentive for low-income individuals to save money, giving them a tool to help break the bonds of poverty. You can help us attain that goal by making a donation of $250 or more to the CASH Program. IHS is working to expand the program through-out Kansas.Donors receive a 75% Kansas Tax Credit for every donation over $250. This means that 75% of your donation is just like writing a check to the State of Kansas for your yearly income tax obligations.
For example: A donor making a $1,000 charitable donation to IHS will receive a $750 tax credit. This tax credit will be subtracted from the Kansas tax obligation, or $750 will be added to the income tax refund. In addition, the donor receives federal tax benefits that vary with the donor’s effective tax bracket and other individual factors.
Keep in mind, that the $1,000 donation will give us $2,000 to change the life of an individual or family through our Creating Assets, Savings & Hope (CASH) Program. This is all possible through the $500,000 in Kansas Tax Credits that Interfaith Housing Services was awarded by the Department of Commerce in exchange for donations made to IHS.
To receive a tax credit for your donation please fill out this form and mail, fax, or email to our offices. Contributions can be made by Check, Credit Card, or Securities.
