Home Repair Assistance

We understand the housing repair needs of our community. Since its inception, Interfaith Housing Services, Inc. has provided Homeowner Repair and Rehabilitation assistance to low-income homeowners in Reno County. These programs assist households with low to moderate income in making repairs necessary to keep their home livable.

Our desire is to help low income households live safely and with dignity in their own homes.

ERAM provides funds for emergency home repairs or accessibility modifications. Savings up to $2,000 are matched at a 3:1 rate (or $6,000) of financial assistance available per household. Financial education is a requirement of program participation.

IHS helps those over the age of 60 with home repair assistance. A local grant and volunteer labor allows us to aid those who need help.

CASH is a savings program that helps qualifying households save to make desired repairs on their current home. The money saved is matched 2:1 by Interfaith Housing Services.

Weatherization improves heating efficiency and fuel savings to residents of Southwestern Kansas by ensuring your home holds in heat and air-conditioning, while keeping hot and cold air out, at NO CHARGE.
